What Evidara is
- What is Evidara?
- Evidara is an SME financial intelligence platform. It brings your sales, stock, customers, suppliers, and payments into one place, turns that activity into trusted records, and turns those records into clear answers about your business.
- Is this just bookkeeping software?
- No. Bookkeeping is one capability inside Evidara. On top of it sits an evidence layer — proof, record strength, and an audit history — and an intelligence layer that shows your true business health.
- How is it different from a spreadsheet?
- Everything you record posts to a real double-entry ledger, so your books stay consistent and reconciled. Records can carry proof and show how well-backed they are — something a spreadsheet cannot do.
- Do I need accounting knowledge to use it?
- No. You record everyday activity — a sale, a purchase, a payment — and Evidara handles the accounting behind it.

- Is there really a free plan?
- Yes. The Free plan is $0 and does not require a card. You can upgrade later if you need more.
- Can I change or cancel my plan?
- Yes — you can move between plans as your business changes.
- Does it work on my phone?
- Yes. Evidara runs on the web, as an installable app, and on mobile — it is built mobile-first.

Payments
- Does Evidara hold or move my money?
- No. Payments are processed by providers such as EcoCash, card providers, and your bank. Evidara records, reconciles, and evidences those payments — it never holds, moves, or takes custody of your funds.
- Which payment methods can I record?
- Cash, EcoCash, card, and bank transfers, across multiple currencies with your own rates.
- Do you take a cut of my sales?
- No. Evidara charges for the platform, not a share of your transactions.

Your data and security
- Who owns my data?
- You do. Your records are yours, and they stay under your control.
- Does Evidara share my data with anyone?
- No. Evidara does not share your business data with any outside party on your behalf, and no external party can discover, request, or access your records through Evidara.
- Can I export my data or delete my account?
- Yes. You can export your data, and account deletion is available. See our security and account-deletion pages for detail.
- How is my account protected?
- With multi-factor authentication, role-based access so the right people see the right things, and an audit history recording what changed, when, and by whom.

AI and capture
- What does the AI actually do?
- It removes data entry. Photograph a receipt, speak a sale, or forward a payment message, and Evidara drafts the record for you to confirm.
- Does AI post records without me?
- No. AI drafts and suggests; you confirm before anything is recorded. You stay in control.
- Does Evidara give financial advice?
- No. Evidara surfaces observations about your own records — what changed, what is overdue, what is trending. It does not provide financial, tax, or legal advice, and the decisions remain yours.

Evidence and sharing
- What is the evidence ladder?
- A four-tier read on how well-backed each record is: self-recorded, reference captured, proof uploaded, and provider-verified. It helps you see which numbers are rock solid.
- Is that a credit score?
- No. It is an internal strength indicator for your own records. It is not a credit score, is not benchmarked against other businesses, and is not shared with anyone.
- Can I share a report with my accountant?
- Yes — you can share your own report via a link you control, and anyone with that link can confirm it is genuine and unaltered. You choose who receives it; Evidara never sends it for you.

What's next
- Can lenders or funders see my records?
- No. Lender access is not available. No lender, partner, or outside party can view your records through Evidara today.
- Can I share a trust score or get benchmarked against other businesses?
- No. Trust-score sharing, external benchmarking, and public reputation are not available. Your evidence is internal to your own business.
- What about the future trust infrastructure you describe?
- Evidara is built on an extensible, evidence-first foundation designed for future expansion. Those capabilities are future-ready architecture and are not yet available. We describe our direction on the vision page, and we will only describe something as available when it genuinely is.
